Zero Touch Deployment: unbox and get started

Zero Touch Deployment in 6 steps: order, enrolment, shipping, Wi-Fi, password, apps install automatically

Zero Touch Deployment means IT no longer has to touch a new device. Employees unbox it, connect to Wi-Fi, and everything else happens automatically. It works by combining the Device Enrollment Program (DEP) with Mobile Device Management (MDM).

Who it is ideal for

Remote workplaces and home offices, onboarding new employees, branches without their own IT, schools, and anywhere IT is centralised.

Real-world example

A reseller orders three MacBooks for its customer:

1. Order: the reseller orders the MacBooks from moll.team.

2. Enrolment: we deliver the devices already enrolled in the customer’s Apple Business Manager. Apps, settings, VPN and profiles are prepared in the customer’s MDM.

3. Shipping: we send the devices straight to the end customer, in neutral packaging with a delivery note in the reseller’s design, with its logo and name.

4. Unboxing: employees unbox and connect to Wi-Fi.

5. Sign-in: they only enter their assigned password.

6. Done: apps, settings, VPN and profiles arrive on the device automatically within minutes.

The reseller invoices its customer, we only invoice the reseller. For the end customer it is one project from a single source.
