CTO: Configure to Order, the custom Mac
CTO stands for Configure to Order. Apple builds the Mac exactly the way your customer needs it, instead of a standard model from stock. Depending on the model, you can choose for example memory, SSD and chip.
When is CTO worth it?
When employees work with large amounts of data, edit video, write code or run many programs at once. Memory and SSD cannot be upgraded later on a Mac, so it pays to plan before buying.
Good to know
CTO devices are built individually and therefore take longer than stock items. We tell you the expected delivery date when you order. CTO Macs can be enrolled through the Device Enrollment Program and rolled out via Zero Touch Deployment just like any other Mac.
How we do it
We check the configuration with you, place the order and keep you updated until delivery. We deliver the right accessories at the same time, for example the Curve Riser from Twelve South.
